You can read here what Blackwood Partners Inc. collects on asbestos-trust-fund.com and how that information is handled.
Information we gather
- When you fill out the claim form, we record your state, name, phone number, email, diagnosis, exposed person, notes, consent text near the button, time, IP address, and browser type.
- We keep standard server logs showing requested pages, time, IP address, and browser type to count visits and maintain security.
- We use your connection to estimate your state, then show the lawsuit deadline for it; this data serves only that purpose.
Your browser runs the cost tools and the trust finder. Local storage on your device keeps their answers, so we do not receive them. No third-party scripts, advertising trackers, or cookies are used on this site.
Why is it used?
Our goals are to keep the site secure, meet legal duties, and pass your claim request to the sponsoring law firm's claims team for them to contact you.
Who gets it?
One sponsoring law firm gets all claim requests. Under contract, our providers of hosting and email process data for us. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising.
About health information
We handle a diagnosis as sensitive health information as if HIPAA applied: we collect only needed fields, encrypt them in transit and at rest, and never put them in web addresses or use them for marketing.
Rights you have
People in states with privacy laws, among them California under the CCPA and its CPRA changes, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, may ask to see, correct or delete their personal information. You may also refuse any sale or sharing. Email support@asbestos-trust-fund.com to make a request; we respond within the time the law sets and will not treat you differently for asking. Attorney Advertising
Asbestos Trust Fund is Attorney Advertising and not a law firm. Sending information does not create an attorney-client relationship.
